Bottle. 2012 vintage. An unclear, dark amber beer topped by a small, dense, beige head. Nice lacings. The aroma is sugary and malty, with some dried fruits and canned tropical fruits. Some sourish hints and green grapes. It’s soft on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Medium body, semi-dry. Caramel maltyness, dark sugar, dried fruits and some resiny bitterness in the flavor. Some sourish hints too. Seems to be slightly off this one. Not that it matters, it’s quite uninteresting anyway. 141011

500ml bottle [2012 vintage]. Clear, reddish, dark amber colour with average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweetish malty aroma has notes of lingonberry and other red berries, a cautious touch of toffee, a dry, woody touch. Taste is slightly sweet malty with a cautious touch of toffee, dry and fruity hoppy overtones with notes of red berries and their parings, a dry oaky touch. Very easy drinking, well hidden alcohol, counter-style facileness.

50 cl bottle vintage 2012 @ home, BBE 15.11.2014
Aroma is quite light with some caramel, toffee and hay. Flavour has English hops, toffee and some biscuits. Also hints of vanilla and wood. Finishes with grainy notes and some gooseberry bush. Too English for me but decent anyway.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, (as Vintage 2012) Greenwich. Burnt orange pour with a light beige head. Aromas of orchard fruit, raisin and pear drops. Quite a malty character, I’m drinking it fresh and the malts are much more dominant for me. Berries and orchard fruit in the flavour with a splash of spice and caramel. Sweet malt finish. Quite tasty.
