Bottle from Aldi’s, Inverurie. It pours golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is bready, sweet, rich tea biscuit, cereal and some honey. The taste is smooth, butter - sweet, lemon peel, toasty grain, cereal, hay, peppery spice, cracker, honey and some pear/apple with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A pretty simple malty gold. Fair.

500ml bottle: BBE Oct 15. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 6th Mar 15, during Scottish tasting session I had with myself. Blonde in name, golden in colour, the head a fast fading white covering. Not much in the nose, some mild maltiness with a whiff of hops below maybe. The taste however was fine, malty lead with a good bitter centre and finish. Toffee notes in the flavour, but not overly sweet. Decent and enjoyable: would be happy to drink this again and again, a good session ale.

Bottle from the Scottish Real Ale shop. Appearance - golden amber with a nice head. Nose - lemon and flowers going into custard. Taste - creamy lemon with barley water backdrop. Palate - light to medium bodied with a good creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - good ale. A lot of what I’m looking for in this style.

Bottled (4.8%) Lightly hazy golden, faint head. Fruity, bready, medicinal nose. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Notes of coffee, lots of ripe fruits. Low bitterness.
