This happy little accident of a pale ale was originally considered a tasty mistake but became so popular it replaced the beer it was supposed to be. It's smooth and lightly hopped with citra hops for a boost of flavor, but remains in the easy sipping category.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark amber color with a light transparency about it and a finger and a half's wor3th of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy/grassy and a little of piney hops, light honey and a slight caramel/toffee malt backbone
Flavor: copies the aromas fairly nice with a slight sweet to semi-bittersweet quality; lingering finish of the honey, caramel malts and a little bit of the piney hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness and a little bit of hop assertiveness but really not that much at all
Overall: nice enough APA with some honey in it, it's an easy drinker.

On tap as part of a flight at The Real McCoy, Ballston Spa. Clear gold with trace sparkle, thin head with fair retention, and light lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, mild florals. Taste is strong caramel, bittering hops. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Leans more malty than hoppy.
