Tap at Verdugo. Strange, fruity, but yeasty, something sweet. Not sure about this.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear earthy amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread notes with some grass and grain backing. Flavor combines bread and sweet grains with a growing Belgian yeast notes that supporting.

[2/20/15] Draught at Societe in San Diego. Clear copper. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast and a caramelly note. Sweetish flavor with caramel, some fruitiness and spicy phenols. Medium-bodied.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear amber colored body that has thin gold edges supporting an off white sort of tan-ish head of foam. The aroma offers up a little bit of malts, candy sugars and then a light pinch of prunes and cherries off in the background. The taste is smooth and it slides into a nice sweet malt character nuanced by some candy sugars and then getting into prunes and sort of figs wrapped with a kind of spicy yeastiness. A pretty nice drinking beer.

Draft at the Pacific Beach Fish Shop - San Diego. Sweet beer with lots of Belgian yeast character, some berries, apple and toffee. A bit heavy at times. Medium bodied with fine, soft carbonation. Sweet finish, fairly malty and yeasty. Not bad.

On tap at Societe, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt - not much else. Flavour is similarly, with bready malt, very dry toffee notes, and more bready malts. Very dry and bready. Solid stuff.

Sample at the tasting room. Clear brownish-amber color with a medium khaki head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of yeast,, biscuit malt and floral hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of bready malt, earthy yeast and hops. The finish is citrusy up front with a peppery yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
