Double Barrel Aged version of Fleeting Vitality.
Part of the 2nd & final League release for 2024.
This was made from a blend of Modem Tones aged in Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrels for 4 years, and Monsters’ Park, aged in Domestic Brandy barrels for 1 year, before being racked out and into Tiny Horsey Bourbon Barrels for 3 years. We added 4 lbs Madagascar Vanilla Beans (over 1 lb / bbl), 25 lbs Untoasted Coconut Flakes (6.6 lbs / bbl), 50 lbs Toasted Coconut Flakes (13.3 lbs / bbl), and 6 lbs of Dark Roast Coffee Beans. The resulting creation is a bomb of chocolate, mounds bars, and fresh morning coffee. The brandy and maple add depth and richness without being overpowering. #RIPMTLEAGUE

22oz (thx, Ben M. D.!) @ Ryan's.
Aroma: sweet; nice mix of coconut, chcocolate, American oak, and coffee.
Taste: along the same lines. Noticeably boozy, integration of flavours is just amazing - all of the flavours are coming together so good, that it's hard to imagine them apart. Have noticed that only in MT beers before.
Overall: amazing! Tastes like a coffee-coconut-chocolate creamy cake with nice booze added. Probably one of the best Modern Times beers I've ever had in terms of the complexity and integration of flavours! Why?! Why it doesn't exist anymore? 😭😭😭

Poured from 650mL bottle. Near black with no head and some coconut sediment. Super dangerous - 17.2% abv that's so smooth it feels like 9%. Nice coconut integration with subtle vanilla, coffee cake like quality with smooth background barrel character. Very nice.
