Baltic Porter - dark, strong lager which is Polish "treasure beer". Classic version of Baltic Porter (with Plato extract around 20°) is brewed with a few Polish breweries. We, as PINTA, respect a value of Polish treasure but at the same time we go extra mile to create our own vision of classical beer. We are proud to present Imperator Bałtycki (Baltic Emperor) - dark giant made of malts and hops. PINTA Imperator Bałtycki - festive beer.
Ingredients: water, Weyermann® barley malts: Munich I, pilsner, diastatic barley, Vienna, Caramunich® III, Caraaroma®, Carafa® Special I; sugar; hops (USA): Amarillo®, Ahtanum®, Centennial, El Dorado®, Mosaic™, Zeus; yeast: Saflager™ W 34/70.

Bottle at a tasting. Very rich, intense, interesting. Balances loads of chocolatey caramelly malty complexity with loads of roastiness and citrusy resiny grassy hops flavours. Very good. Surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle kindly shared by MisoW many thanks. Very dark brown color with small beige head. Aroma of caramel, whiskey, roasted malt, light coffee. Taste, dark malt, light roastiness, caramel, whiskey., wood, light oxidation. Very good.

Bottle from IP trade, split with Colin (13/08/2016 Colin visit Day2) - pours black with a beige head. Aroma and taste is roasted and malty, nice burnt charred smokey edge, with chocolate, dried fruit, oats, caramel and toffee sweetness, nice warming finish. Lovely.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Inky black with a beige head. Clean dark malts, with only moderate fruity notes. Smooth molasses, warming alcohol, moderate grassy hops. Very good.

Bottle obtained in a trade, as a local4local deal. Turns out to be top 5 of Poland, Nice ! Pours dark borwn, good, grey head. Smell is rather bitter, very aromatic roasted malts. taste is intense, very intense, dark malts. CHocolate, coffee, oats. This is a re-discovery of everything good a dark beer can have to offer , withoud anny additions/funky ingredients. I can see why this is rated so high ! very intense, and a good carbo and MF.

Barwa ciemny brąz z rubinowymi refleksami. W aromacie nuty leśne i cytrusy. W smaku wyraźna ziołowa goryczka, żywica. W tle dopiero nuty charakterystyczne dla porteru bałtyckiego czyli czekolada w tym wypadku deserowa, praliny. Bardzo dobre ale z porterem bałtyckim ma to piwo niestety mało wspólnego.

Black with thin head. Aroma is roasted and slightly boozy. Very rich, almost oily texture. Nicely bitter and also warming.

Bottled@HBF2016. Deep ambery brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some mild nutty notes as well as mild ripe fruits. Flavour is toffee, ripe fruits, some mild roasted malts as well as some burnt sugary notes. Still a bit watery.
