Baltic Porter - dark, strong lager which is Polish "treasure beer". Classic version of Baltic Porter (with Plato extract around 20°) is brewed with a few Polish breweries. We, as PINTA, respect a value of Polish treasure but at the same time we go extra mile to create our own vision of classical beer. We are proud to present Imperator Bałtycki (Baltic Emperor) - dark giant made of malts and hops. PINTA Imperator Bałtycki - festive beer.
Ingredients: water, Weyermann® barley malts: Munich I, pilsner, diastatic barley, Vienna, Caramunich® III, Caraaroma®, Carafa® Special I; sugar; hops (USA): Amarillo®, Ahtanum®, Centennial, El Dorado®, Mosaic™, Zeus; yeast: Saflager™ W 34/70.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2016) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, sweetness and alcohol. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, booze and bitterness. Aftertaste was boozy and burnt. Too boozy, too burnt and too sweet.

Bottle at HBF2016. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Dark bready, burned aroma. Medium-bodied. Burned, ryeish, harsh flavor. Alcohol. Very unbalanced sticky brew.

Tap at HBF 2016, Helsinki. Colour is black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, coffee, candy chocolate and roasted malts. Flavors are strong but too sweet and candy. Bad drinkability.

Bottle. One of the true classics, thanks to Nikos! Pours Ruby black, small creamy tan head, good lacing. Aroma is loads of chocolate, roasted malts, molasses, hints of anise. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, cocoa, molasses, roasty, really pleasant. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Draught @ PiwPaw - Beer Heaven, Foksal 16, Warszawa, Poland 00-372. [ As Pinta Imperator Baltycki ].Clear dark black - red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, sugary, raisin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, fruity, dark fruit, rasin, hoppy, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160204]
