South Pacific Pale Ale

Kipling was the first UK beer to use the exquisite Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. We brew this as a SMASH (Single Malt and Single Hop) using the heritage Maris Otter as a base malt which works to allow the complex flavour of this hop to really shine through. There is a grassy, grapefruit character on the nose, followed by passionfruit and mango. It finishes with a balanced and thirst-quenching bitterness.

Bottled at The Globe, Central, HongKong. Almost clear golden, brief head. Grassy gooseberry aroma. Dry and light bodied. Crisp and fresh, richly hoppy and almost woody like a really dry chardonnay. Growing late bitterness. An unusually distinctive bottled English ale with a lot of character, yet retaining full drinkabaility. A class act!

Cask at the Cask Pub & Kitchen on 3rd February 2010. Gold with a thin white head. Strong citric aroma (grapefruit); burst of grassy and grapefruit hoppiness. Rich and flavoursome. A beautifully crafted pale ale, well worth seeking out.

Bottled. A golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of elderflower and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of elderflowers as well as lighter notes of malt, honey, and straw, leading to a dry honey finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a rich off-white head. Exotic fruity hop aroma. Medium body, sweet fruits and a light citric touch - thereโ€™s a vague cardboard touch. Discreetly bitter finish. No more an APA than your typical British Golden Ale. 180110

Bottle from Eataly, Bologna
Hazy blond color. Delicate but persistent aroma, with elderflowers and passion fruit, a bit grassy too. Dry mouthfeel, dry toffee flavor, with vivid bitterness and hints of passion fruit. Long final, dry bitterness. Very pleasant.
