South Pacific Pale Ale
Kipling was the first UK beer to use the exquisite Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. We brew this as a SMASH (Single Malt and Single Hop) using the heritage Maris Otter as a base malt which works to allow the complex flavour of this hop to really shine through. There is a grassy, grapefruit character on the nose, followed by passionfruit and mango. It finishes with a balanced and thirst-quenching bitterness.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Clear golden yellow colour with a dissipating white head. Great flagrant aroma packed with bags of juicy tropical fruit and grassy hop. Very enticing. This theme continued on into the flavour which was right up my street. Perfect level of bitterness. Just lip smackingly tasty and hugely sinkable. A definite regular in the quiver now and maybe even better than the jaipur.

The strong butterscotch flavors reminded more of a chardonny, than a sauvignon blanc. Very malty, with light floral hops hitting the back of the throat. Subtle hoppy finish.
