Draft. Clear light golden body with a fizzy white head. Grainy aroma with notes of hay and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Taste of hay and grain and light citrus. Light on malt flavor and aroma for a helles.

Pours a very slight unfiltered, golden colour with a white frothy head, good retention and some decent creamy-foam lace. Aromas of grass and honey over toasted malts. Floral notes, just like in the taste. Mild sweetness with hints of oranges. Very light bitterness. Lighter cereal grain than usual for the style. Still, an interesting lightly flavoured beer.

Bottle ticked June 2017 so assumed 4 months old. Shaker glass. A: Poured a huge, thick, creamy yellow beige head atop slightly orange tinted clear pale gold body. Slow bubbles and excellent head retention. S: Bready sweet doughy smell with a little grass and herbs. T: Unexpected sharp fruity notes but not from hops. I guess that’s the orange blossom. Sweet bread notes are present but obscured. Fruity sweet aftertaste. M: Light with low carbonation and a coating sweetness. O: OK but but not my cup of tea. Enough with the fruit shit.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is bready. Med body. Flavor is Germanly bready with a very hard to get orange note. Basically it’s a plain old Helles. Not too dry, mildly bitter.
