The sweetness of the tripel is tempered by the French oak, and notes of fresh berries from the barrel.

The brethren provideth for Ēostre. An opaque amber gold. Foamy on opening but once decanted the head is foamy and translucent but not particularly impressive. The aroma has contrasting seeet fruit with tart berries and booze. Flavourwise wevhave an initial chewy load of malt. It's doughy but sweet. And thrgh this runs a big boozy coach load of tart berries. Woody to boot. Medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft carbonation with a skewed fizz. Long astringent finish. The various components just work very well together. Two thumbs up.
