From a can, this is an orange tint on baron brown brew. Upon opening, it was a gusher! All over the place, quite a mess, what ever. First big swig is tons of foaming carbonation bursting and bloating in my mouth. Takes all I can do to keep it from squirting out. Better take a smaller swig next time. I'm not complaining, I like beers with that amount of co2! OK, finally on to the other attributes; it does have a pretty good well behaved attitude. Friendly malty red ale character. Well balanced for an ale and it hides its alky content rather well. In the middle, it does have a tad of bitterness but its behind the curtain, just peeking out once in a while. I'm actually enjoying this ale. I think it may be my hoghest rated Irish red ale; even better than Brew Keepers Eireann Dearg, Sullivans Maltings Irish Ale, Church Brew Imperial Irish Red Ale and Biker Brewhouse JD's Rumblin' Red Ale ! I need to get a sixer of this stuff.
