Coconut Brown Ale

Perhaps our most missed delight. We have decided it was time to bring back the coconut focus we all have dearly missed. Bolo is an American Brown Ale aged with raw macaroon coconut and brown sugar, adding a quaffable abundance of sweet tropical goodness. A perpetual spectrum of mind-bending examination, in the most drinkable of dark beers.

Dense forest demand sharp blades. Worn, torn, chipped or rusted, the Bolo shepherds the path. Later still, this tool of ancient times takes on the tiring task of harvesting the hidden fruit of the tropics. Enjoy an aroma that reminds you of tropical granola with a smooth maltiness that hints at chocolate and nuts. Baked in our kettle, cured to perfection.

Sample at the taproom. Pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coconut and chocolate. Light-bodied with a toasted coconut character and flavors of caramel malt and chocolate in the background. The finish is roasty coconuts and malt. Pretty good overall.
