It was a challenging brewing process that required patience and delivered a complex brown ale. Aged in Red Bordeaux barrels for 17 months, it’s seriously good.

Bottle at the Sunflower, Belfast, 15/11/2024.
Deep chestnut brown with a reddish hue and topped with a lasting off white head.
Nose is stewed fruit esters, vinous, acidic nostril pinch, dried red berries, herb.
Taste comprises damp oak, vinous, acidic spike, stewed fruits, balanced wine barrel, dry rot, hedgerow.
Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, drying close with a balanced puckering bite.
Solid complex sour.
