Jet black with thick, lingering, tan foam. Notes of cocoa and vanilla are met with aromas dark fruit, chocolate covered berries, and red wine. Medium-high bitterness and medium-high residual sweetness are in good balance, and the body is full and creamy, with just a hint of tannic bite from the red wine barrel on the finish.

Bottled at PBF Black, small head. Aroma of chocolate cake dipped in coffee and red wine. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Burnt caramel, wood and alcohol. Red wine and earthy licorice. Bitter finish with warming alcohol.

Opaque colour, tiny head. Roasted aroma, some red wine in the nose. Medium-bodied. Roasted, some cocoa, alcohol, some notes from red wine barrel but not much. Smooth and balanced. PBF XV.

PBF XV. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, some mild toffee tones with mild toasted and nutty tones. Flavour is liquorice, some chocolate syrup, mild toffee and some mild alcohol sweetness to it. Still nicely smooth to it.
