Orange Whisper 2: Now With Orange

It's been about 6 years since the last release of Orange Whisper, so I'm happy to share that there's finally a new iteration available!

A Blend of Golden Sour Beers Aged in Oak Barrels With Orange Zest & Strata Hops

The original Orange Whisper was inspired by a few of the first barrels in our cellar that exhibited distinct orange aromas, and was dry-hopped to amplify those aromas, but using no actual oranges. This sequel breaks with convention and now contains the zest of many oranges blended with a large dose of Strata hops.

I'm drinking the glass from the above photo right now, and just to be up front - it's yellow-ish, not orange-ish.. I was just trying to recreate the doorway shadow on the label and a small red light was giving me the most pleasing results! It's zesty and citrusy, tangy and crisp, and the sort of thing I wish I was sipping in the sun... a bit of a breather from all the dessert-sweet smoothies and stouts of recent months. This particular blend came about when my friend Josh reached out and asked if we could collaborate on a beer using Strata hops, which he was enjoying turning into IPAs. Our shared nostalgia for Orange Whisper came up in the conversation, and the deal was sealed. The sheep on the side of the label was Josh's request, and I have no context for it, and he was also kinda ambiguous about it, so... I guess, just enjoy a random sheep!
