Orange wine characteristics yield to old-world aromatics, while familiar hop notes offer supporting complexity.

This is the first in a new series of beers that explores beyond the new normal. Back in 2016, we helped change expectations in hoppy beer by working outside the box, stepping away from the safety of the familiar, and in this series we’re off for another mooch about. This is a journey for the curious and the adventurous, for individuals in search of new combinations and boundary-blurring hybrids. Join us, and help us find something new, whether that’s the “next big thing” or just something rather lovely.

I don't know what this is but that's the point. Soft floral aroma. Light sweet finish with a little lemonbalm. Pours clearish golden with good head and lacing. Can at Snally.

440ml can from Cloudwater online store in Manchester. A slightly hazy dark orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweetish, orange, yeasty, fruity, floral taste, aroma is something similar. It was fine but not one of Cloudwaters best efforts.

Can at home from Fuss Club. Lightly hazed golden colour with a white head. Some Belgian yeast and maybe banana. Lightly floral and citrus. In some ways it reminds me of various styles while at the same time it’s completely new. Medium body.
