Label claims only 6% Stable, faintly amberish tinted head over almost clear orange-copper beer. End of bottle presents a zoo of UFO's. Rather alcoholic nose, boozy, and lots of caramel. Preserved oranges. Caramel returns in the mouth, but with an outspoken bitter, toasted flavour, even though a sugary sweetness lurks underneath. The bitterness however keeps going into the finish, becoming metallic. Once the deposit added to the glass, the general character becomes quite earthy. Very slick, enhanced somehow by the alcohol - which feels surprisingly hight for its modest 6%. Good carbonation, certainly medium bodied. Not as stereotypical as some.

Troebel lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak heeft wat weg van een saison, is bitterzoet en kruidig met iets van citrus, gras en wat hars. Goed bier.
