On tap at Põhja Konn, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Nose is full of rich rye-like caramel, birch syrup, and bready malt. Flavour is unusual, with lots of caramel, spicy rye, birch syrup, toffee, and bready. Quite dry, despite the syrupy character. This is excellent.

100ml draught from a sample tray at Pöhja Konn. Deep dark brown the the glass, declining fawn head, fair lacing. Inviting mid-sweet malty aromas, hints of caramel. Mixed malt-driven taste of biscuit, chocolate, and caramel. Brown malty finish, lightly roasted. Like it (Tallinn 06.11.25, in friendly company with Finn and Alfred from Taiwan)

Brownish colour and small beige head. Rye spiceyness, some sweetish bread in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish malts, bready notes, rye. Ok. Putoooja'25

44cl can from Sip, Tallinn. Pours dark caramel brown with a modest, off-white head. Malty and caramelly with bready notes and rye. Reminds me of kvass, just much stronger. Rather sweet, somewhat balanced, but still not quite my cup of tea.
