Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Spices Stout
This years Easter special is a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Spices Stout. A rich and full bodied companion to the season, offering deep and waring flavors. You’re in for a luxurious treat with a bold, spiced twist. Oaky!
We've come a long way. On April 24, 2005, Mikael Dugge Engström brewed the first-ever batch of Dugges beer. We were a one-person show with a makeshift kit at the far end of a forgotten industrial estate.
In 2023, for our 18th birthday, we brewed. 9+9=Stout! A 9% and 9 adjuncts stout. It was a lovely coconut, muscovado sugar, coffee, cacao, licorice, vanilla, tonka bean, cinnamon, and cardamom concoction. We also put some of that beer in whisky barrels. And, that was… that was…. Well, it was a happy birthday to us again. It was complex. And big. And bold. It was everything that is Dugges in a beer.
So, for this easter. We've done it all again! However, this time, we put the beer in lovely Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels and added a hefty dose of ginger. Because why not!? Happy happy!
