Bright, crisp, and effortlessly refreshing. First Light is rooted in classic English Golden Ale styles. It is elevated with late additions of First Gold and Centennial hops, delivering notes of honey, citrus, and subtle spice. Expect apricot, malty sweetness, zesty citrus, balanced by a moderate bitterness and a subtle sharpness on the finish.

29/1/2026. Cask at the 17th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours okay. Aroma is citrusy, peachy, apple pie, spicy notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, a little fizzy. Enjoyed this.
