This pumpkin ale is clean and sweetly malty with just enough hop bitterness to balance, and no hop aroma to mask the spices in this all grain recipe. The addition of roasted local pumpkins makes it extra pumkin-y legit.

Draft at the source. Clear golden amber color, white head. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is light spice and caramel. Decent.

Draft as Shrumpkin 6.9%ABV: Mild pumpkin and allspice nose. Crystal clear amber, no head. Pumpkin, allspice, nutmeg, graham cracker. Full body, easy carbonation. I actually quite like this. There is a delicate balance between bready beer, spice, and pumpkin. It’s like that thin layer of intermingling of filling and crust. Masterful.

LSAT Freedom Trip Beer #10. Keg at the brewery. Hazy orange, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pumpkin spice, pumpkin, vanilla. The taste is cinnamon, clove, vanilla, pumpkin and a mildly tart finish. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.
