0.33 l bottle, best before September 2026, courtesy of my Secret Santa 2016 MrHangover, thanks Johan! Black with a thin, soapy, quickly diminishing, beige layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy and a bit roasty aroma of milk chocolate, licorice, hazelnut and some cinnamon. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty and slightly spicy taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, praline, some hazelnut and a bit of cinnamon, followed by a rather long, quite roasty-bitter, earthy-dry and slightly spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very satisfying, moreish, well-done brew!

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Honningsvåg. Coal black body, lots of sediments to the last pour. Dissipating tan-coloured head, fair lacing. Roasted black malty aroma with dried fruits, mid-sweet. Rich taste of prunes, raisin, molasses and dark chocolate. Nicely roasted ending, mid sweet. Well bodied. Decent Christmas feel in September (Hotel room after talking about early modern witches at Nordkapp Filmfestival 17.09.2016).

Small beige head. Near-opaque black body. Sweetish roasty toffee and fudge aroma with soy sauce notes. Dense, sweet roasty earthy chocolatey taste with soy sauce notes. Full-bodied. Soft, mild, low carbonation. Sweetish earthy mineraly roasty aftertaste with sugary mineraly notes. Nice, but a little sweet and harsh round the edges. Probably would benefit greatly from some years of aging. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Lørenskog Storsenter.)

On tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Almost clear deep amber body with a moderate sized tan head. Nice aroma of dry fruit and caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, lots of dry fruit, and moderate but balanced bitterness, slightly spicy and vinous alcohol. Full bodied and long good aftertaste. Delicious winter warmer/barley wine.
