Coffee nose. Cola brown, medium tan head. The flavor is fairly sweet coffee with a beechwood finish. Medium body, alcohol not noticeable. Hearty and robust, solid.

Draft at the brewpub on 1/19/2013. Poured a dark color, black with some dark notes around the edges. Aroma was some chocolate with some light coffee notes. Some mild bitter character, though plenty of sweet. Pretty enjoyable.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 11/21/12

Aroma: the nose has lots of roasted malts, some dark chocolate, and caramel as well
Appearance: This beer has a dark brown pour with a small head and basically no lace
Flavor: The flavor is pretty toasty as well, it is a little sweet, and has a mild bitterness
Palate: This one has a smooth feel, medium bodied, and it finishes soft and creamy
Overall Impression:  Really solid example of a porter. It seemed to be rather popular amongst our group, and I was no exception, I really enjoyed it.

Served on nitro at the brewery. Opaque brown color with cascading bubbles ot the bottom of the glass, leading to a 3-finger thick and creamy head. Rich roasted malt aroma. Chocolate and nuts. Taste is pleasantly bitter. Grain, chocolate, nuts caramel and an interesting faint minty tea aftertaste. Hops make themselves known in a nice way. Slightly watery feel right at the beginning that quickly gives way to that nice nitro creaminess.
