Black Bass is a complex full bodied oatmeal stout. This beer gets its velvety smooth texture from the oatmeal used in the brew. Coffee, dark chocolate, and liquorice in the aroma with detectable sweetness balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops and roasted malts.

Bottle thanks to cagarvie. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Oily texture. Looks good in the glass. Aromas of chocolate and biscoff. Taste is more of the same. Light roast finish.

Appearance -
Nose - honeycomb, dark chocolate, toffee and biscoff biscuit.
Taste - biscoff biscuit and Crunchie Bar following it in. Some dark chocolate.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy and roasty sweetness.
Overall - very good.
