Hop Pursuit is the ultimate celebration of Oregon agriculture and Pacific Northwest Hops. Our brewers shoot a wonderfully hoppy surplus of Cascade, Mosaic, Equinox, and Simcoe into the fermenter using our Hop Shooter, dry hopping the beer and enhancing the aroma of pineapple and late hop flavors. Piney and mango notes follow with a mid-palate hint of honey. Two-Row Northwest Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts provide the right amount of malt character. Balanced by a clean, caramel malt body, Hop Pursuit’s multi-layered hop flavors lead to a crisp, assertive finish. Like the Pacific Northwest, this IPA has hops for days.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy gold copper with a small frothy off white head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops grapefruit and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and a bit watery with citrus in the finish. A decent Pale Ale from Full Sail.

Bomber pours clear copper with tan head. This playful aroma seems to be hiding behind the couch and refuses to come out. I get light notes of citrus orange peel and lime like hoppiness as well as some spicy hops and a sense of sweet fruity hard candy. The taste has a moderate level of bitter grapefruit and lime like citrus hops and then rolling into spicy and citrus hop flavor. Into the finish the largely citrus hop bitterness and flavor are joined by a thin river of sweet malts.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/1/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, grapefruit, pale malts, pine, orange, and citrus
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a fizzy white head
Flavor: The flavor has a light citrusy sweetness, with a big, bitting, bitter finish to it
Palate: This one is medium bodied with fairly short duration, a fizzy carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This is rating numero uno of September!. As for the beer itself, it is quite bitter for the style, dry and bitting, but pretty solid. Another nice offering from Full Sail. The quality level from these guys seems to be generally fairly high.

Pours a slightly hazed deep gold into a Sam glass. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Tropical fruit aromas. Sharp with upfront sweet mango and passionfruit turning to bitter grapefruit in the lasting finish.
