Barrel Aged Scotch Ale
A strong scotch-style ale celebrating the union of a traditional, 19th century recipe aged in ex Starward whisky barrels. A collaboration brewed for our 3rd Birthday with Stewart Brewing (UK) and Voyager Craft Malt. Deep ruby in colour with aromas of toffee, scotch whisky and baked spices. Rich flavours of dark fruit, sweet caramel and oakiness lead to a long, warming finish.

From a 440ml can in 12/9/2025. Shared with Desmond. Pours a darkish amber with virtually no head. Smells malty, with caramel and toffeee, dates and prunes, with a whiff of booze. Tastes of all of the aforementioned, along with butterscotch, fruit cake, nuts and some honeyed notes. Finishes with a sharp moderate bitterness with a dash of bourbon. Syrupy palate with moderate carbonation. An excellent boozy sipper.
