Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, brown sugar, dried dark fruits, raisins, touch of liquorice, yeast. Flavour is quite sweet, bit cloying. Body is above medium. A rather sweet Belgian Strong Dark Ale with the usual flavours.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark murky reddish-brown, small off white top. Aroma has a sour red ale note with chocolate, something chemical, earth; interesting but odd. Taste of figs, berries, dark malt with chocolate edge, brown sugar, earthy hops with decent bitter kick; nice! I was worried from the aroma that this was going to be unbalanced but it works with a nice level of complexity. Medium bodied, rich but not overdone.

Bottle, dark brown with a huge light tan head. Complex bready nose with medium brown sugar notes. Pretty sweet on the tongue, i guess a lot of caramel and kandi syrup, at the end a bit one dimensional flavor with too much unbalanced sweetness.

August 2020: 330 ml bottle, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy dark brown colour, large to moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, brown kandij sugar syrup, dark dried fruits, hints of mild spices. The flavour is malty and sweet, but not too much, with the same elements as in the aroma. Hints of chocolate.

A dark brown beer, a head is almos medium and beige. Aroma has dried fruitness, prune, apricot. Taste has sweetness of dried frutis, prune, light spicyness and raisin, pretty fresh. Medium+ bodied, quite high carbonation. Dark and dried fruitness, still surprisingly fresh. Good beer.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a mahogany colour with a thinnish creamy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, berries, nuts, caramel and toasty brown bread. Taste has more red berries, nuts and caramel with some added chocolate and a slightly tart tang on the finish. Thinnish watery body with average carbonation. Quite decent and pleasant to drink but nothing special at the same time.
