When you’ve got the blues, rely on the Moose. Forget your cares thanks to its aroma of dried fruit and dark chocolate. When you are still feeling blue – dabadee, dabadoo – just take a great sip of this dark tasting beer. The taste reveals smoked malt and caramel. Adding Canadian maple syrup gives a more complexe sensation in the mouth. Slowly enjoy this intriguing beer, so that it can give away all its secrets one by one and you can discover a different kind of blues.

Creamy off white head on a dark brown body. Malt, caramel & peanut aroma. Medium bodied, smooth soft & creamy with a clean back. Malt, smoked, burnt & caramel tastes with a lightly hopped fruity finish. Boring.

Ready to open a 33 cl bottle of Moose Blues that came from Etre Gourmet back this summer. I choose my Teku glass for this one, let’s proceed. The appearance is a mahogany body completed by taupe tan skim that remains steady by the constant carbonation. The smell is good by me, figs, raisins and earth. And the glass is lifted for a drink. Pretty decent also, I get dates, wheat bread, dark fruit, malt, hay and a small touch of chocolate. The sensation is fuller than I expected and I also get some bitterness at the finish. All right in one of my favorite styles.

Moyen.

Bottle as Christmas gift. Probably from Cotteridge. Hazy deep ruby brown colour with an off white head. Aroma light malt and apples. Taste crisp apple. Fair thin and carbonated body.

Flaska från Belgoklubben. Brun med ett kortlivat skum. Maltig, choklad och lite läder. Bra matdryck, balanserad, mjuk.
