When you’ve got the blues, rely on the Moose. Forget your cares thanks to its aroma of dried fruit and dark chocolate. When you are still feeling blue – dabadee, dabadoo – just take a great sip of this dark tasting beer. The taste reveals smoked malt and caramel. Adding Canadian maple syrup gives a more complexe sensation in the mouth. Slowly enjoy this intriguing beer, so that it can give away all its secrets one by one and you can discover a different kind of blues.

A little sour, some lacto that shouldn’t be there. A bit muddled and hazy. Not a super crisp clean finish. Good enough, not good for the style though. Online beerwulf (3.5 march 2020) Beerwulf adventkal. A good dubbel, clean and good but mild belgian yeast flavours and a nice malty amber forward body.

Bottle at Gainsbar. Lovely. Light roast, cocoa powder, initial citrus bitter hit. Then some cheesiness, and a little sourness. Like a dubbel version of the oud bruin. Lovely.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel, metal and red fruit in the aroma. Just a hint of sourness in the flavor. Toffee, butter, red fruit, caramel. Soft floral notes. Decent.

(Draught at Gollem, Antwerpen, 18 Oct 2018) Reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and roasted aromas. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dark fruit, crisp-bread, a touch of cinnamon and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Dark red, slightly hazy. Low sized off-white head has scarce persistence and lacing. Quite subdued aroma shows a caramel and sugary base with red fruit notes (expecially cherry). Taste is more intense, but not too deep or well balanced. Strong sweetness with caramel and brown sugar, no bitterness to bring balance, a slight hint of sourness shows cherry notes. Medium bodied with average carbonation in a semi-soft mouthfeel. The beer feels overall quite empty and not very well integrated. Disappointing.
