Draft. Dry lemon/lime zest and orange biscuit malt aroma. Murky straw color with moderate head. Slightly sweet citrus biscuit malt and moderately bitter lemon/lime peel flavor. Body on the lighter side. Strong citrus peel presence.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/7/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nnice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, yuzu, apricot, guava, papaya, pineapple, white wine, coriander, peppercorn, orange peel, oak, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, light leather/musty funk, slight vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, yuzu, apricot, guava, papaya, pineapple, white wine, coriander, peppercorn, orange peel, oak, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, light leather/musty funk, slight vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of yeast spiciness, citrus peel bitterness, and moderate fruity/tannic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, yuzu, apricot, guava, papaya, pineapple, white wine, coriander, peppercorn, orange peel, oak, hay, straw, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great tart/bitter/spiciness balance, and no astringent flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, dry, moderately sticky/tannic, and lightly acidic/saline/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent sour saison/Gose style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the very dry/tannic finish. A very enjoyable offering.

On tap at MBGSF 2016. Pours a fully hazed pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is lime, tart. Flavor has sour lime, biscuit; salty tasting. It’s not bad, but I wish there were more flavor.
