Tall can (thx, Kory V. for this extra!). Canned on 2017-10-23. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, fruity, and, unfortunately, some iron notes. Taste is very fruity with roasted malt bitterness and iron notes. Fairly dry. This would be better without iron in it and less roasted malt bitterness, but ot is still fairly good.

Draft at Flying Saucer Columbia. Dark brown color, beige head. Earthy cocoa aroma. Taste is earthy coffee grounds, dry finish. Decent.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/24/14

Aroma: It is mostly roasted malts and coffee, with some chocolate, molasses, and caramel notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small, frothy light brown head, and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste leans toward the unsweetened coffee side of the style, with a mid-bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, not watery, with a soft-to-average carbonation
Overall Impression: I believe this will knock me into the top 5 raters of Three Heads, so that's cool. This is a pretty solid dry stout. There's enough of a light sweetness to keep it well balanced, but it leans more roasty and bitter than it does sweet. This is a nice one, nothing outstanding, just a well made beer. Maybe a bit underrated on here.

No, I’m afraid this is better than yer typical foreign stout, much better than i thought it would be. Nice black on tap pour at the bocktown. Really cool aroma. My taste impressions is burned wood cooled by the morning dew. Very little co2. Never goes into impy or foreign stout mode. Not as smoooth as I like but pretty good overall. Probably one of the more mild and friendly foreign stouts I’ve tasted.

Bottle shared by Blipp at my house. Pours black with off white head. Nose/taste of roasted malt, burnt chocolate malt, burnt coffee grounds and burnt vanilla. Medium body.
