This Sour is conditioned on both prickly pear and lime puree. Prickly pear is a fruit that we found tastes more like watermelon than actual watermelon does when added to beer. After conditioning on fruit we added a dose of watermelon flavor to really bring the beer together and make the watermelon candy aspect of this sour pop.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy orange red with a small, fizzy, short lived, pink head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of grainy wheat, watermelon and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat, watermelon, lime, lactose and floral hops in a dry, tart finish. Light to medium body with a sticky, syrupy texture and average carbonation. Reminds me of jolly rancher candy. A bit sweet, but fun stuff.

On tap at Steamworks - Mt Pleasant, pours a cloudy dark amber red with a small white head. Nose is full of watermelon fruit punch, lacto, and artificial sugars. Flavour is artificial, with lots of sugary watermelon and a touch of lacto. This is ridiculously gimmicky, sweet and unsophisticated macro bullshit. Terrible.
