CFO₂ was released once before, the idea being just to blend some other Collins Fruit besides plums and pluots, but to keep the beer somewhat pale and make sure we include both plums and peaches. This time I must have been stoned when I wrote the label out, as it says the beer includes three varietals of pluots and one peach. When I went back to the notes it actually includes three pluots, a peach, a nectarine, and a cool hybrid we like that is called a Peacotum. Those are a peach/apricot/plum hybrid that looks a lot like a Howard's Miracle plum, with a gold apricot-ish background and big red blush on it. They have a distinct soft, velvety peach fuzz, and a really pleasant peach/pluot flavor without the massive acidity that most apricots have. So there's 6 total varietals in this.
The pale pluots plus the Peacotums lend a pretty orange hue, which might make you think this was overfruited, but it's intended to be a more balanced and light drinker. It has more fruit per pound than the previous CFO₂ (and more than the peach/pluot Field Blend from 2022). The beers in the blend show themselves nicely because of this lighter fruit rate, and the various varietals all weave kind of seamlessly together.
Bottling date: 12/19/2024
ABV: 6.45 ABV
Conditioned with: Organic sugar.
Cellar: I think these lighter peach/pluot beers are best consumed fresh, and I'd drink it this spring/summer/fall. Best by spring 2026.

Opaque, decent effervescence, no head. Big sweet pluot. On the palate, stone fruit tartness, still big pluot flavour, brett, good malt. Bright fruit, ythe base is pretty good but only average for Floodland.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright juicy stone fruits, nice bugginees, and some oak. Flavour is juicy and yet dry, with lots of juicy stone fruits, nice complex bugginess, and oak. Juicy, dry and buggy. Excellent.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed yellow with small white head. Lots of pluot with an emphasis on the apricot, nice overall stone fruit character, enjoyable patio sipper, expected the finish to linger a little more, but still quite nice.

750ml (thx, Josh for the logistics!) @ Ryan's. Day drinking after securing a new job 🥳
Aroma: farmhouse notes with a lot of notes of peach and plums.
Taste: along the same lines, nice carbonation, low to moderately acidic.
Overall: good one.
