We’re thrilled to be bringing back Cheers and G’Suffa, our collaborative beers with Outer Range Brewing, for the second year in a row. These collabs are all about good beer, good people, and raising a stein to tradition.
G’Suffa is our take on a Märzen: a classic German style brewed in March, lagered all summer, and enjoyed at Oktoberfest. While ours wasn’t brewed in March, it’s got all the right character: a full-bodied lager with a golden-amber glow, a toffee-forward aroma, and smooth notes of toasted tobacco, mahogany, cacao powder, and a little bit of honey.
Low in bitterness compared to other lagers, this old style beer made with German Mittelfrüh hops is reminiscent of East Coast brown molasses bread.
This beer also marks a special milestone: it’s the first large-scale recipe designed by our brewer Creighton, created alongside his longtime pal Kilian from Outer Range, and it’s Bellwoods’ first Märzen ever. Both share a love for this style (and dark lagers in general), and it shows in every sip.

473ml can. Pours a hazy amber orange with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, toffee and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, caramel, honey and light spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to put back.
