Bottle from Bert’s Pours a solid black color with a decent sized tan head that persists. Big coffee on the nose with a fair amount of woody smoke and a hint of maple and brown sugar. Sweet brown sugary malt as a base with plenty of coffee and smoke to counter. Lightly herbal earthy with a hint of licorice. Creamy velvety mouthfeel, light to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Interesting beer.

5oz draft pour at Sehkraft Brewing, guest tap. Poured a dark brown color with a small light tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, dark fruits. Flavor was nice light coffee, light sweetness. Roasted notes. Light burnt character. Pretty tasty actually - nice dry finish notes. Not too much molasses sweetness.

Pours deep mahogany-tinged cola into a shaker. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Chocolate and espresso aromas. Thick with sweet milk chocolate upfront turning to dry, charred resin before the lasting espresso finish.
