This big stout get’s aggressive with a boost from Allegro Coffee’s Exotic Mocha Java Blend. The coffee’s dark cherry flavors and spicy undertones weave into the rich, milky sweet stout like a chocolate-covered espresso bean melting on your tongue. Bitter then sweet. Sweet then bitter. It’s Bittersweet.

Coffee and charred oak nose. Cola black, medium tan head, little retention or glass adherence. Coffee and dark chocolate. Cherry cordial appears upon warming. Medium body, easy carbonation. A really wonderful beer, when enjoyed at warmer than normal termperature. Excellent crafting!

Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Bittersweet dark chocolate and coffee flavors with some dark roasted malt. Moderately sweet. Full body with minimal carbonation.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin wisp of an off white to tan head that settled at a nice pace. Lacing slid into the beer as it went down.
The smell had a superb sweet and roasty coffee blend with sweet milk chocolate tones running blissfully into the beer.
The taste was coffee sweet, the roastier portion slid more so into the background. Quick sweet milk chocolate aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. Fairly sessionable with a slight dry to bitter feel pouncing on my tongue.
Overall, I’d say milk stout- yes, as an \"imperial\" style, yeah, I think I can see it. Still, I’d have for me again, nice all around!

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 12/11/15

Aroma: The nose is lightly sweetened coffee, some chocolate, and a bit of rubbing alcohol
Appearance: It pours a dark brown-black color with a small head and light, spotty lacing
Flavor: Tastes of sweetened coffee with milk, more sweet than bitter up-front, closes more bitter
Palate: Medium-plus bodied up-front, slightly sticky, with a quick finish, that makes it feel almost watery (even though it feels fairly full up-front), absolutely no heat, and a short duration
Overall Impression: I get a weird rubbing alcohol note that kinda hurts the aroma. Otherwise, it's a solid coffee beer. Just read the deScription after I wrote my review, and it makes perfect sense now. It's definitely bittersweet. It's an okay beer, but it didn't quite do it for me. Also, I didn't get the mouthfeel. All over the place. How can it be medium-full bodied and watery? How does it smell like booze and yet have no heat? I can sum it up best by just saying there's some good stuff, there's some bad stuff, and there's some stuff. Also, I cannot get it to stop capitalizing the "s" in deScription. I've tried to edit like 10 times, and it won't go away...
