The Portland team and their friends at Yakima Chief Hops’ hop innovation program brewed it with plenty of Citra, HBC 1019, and HBC 638.

Tasting Notes
Gorgeous jasmine, honeydew, and green grass aromas invite you in before Metalheadz wallops your taste buds with bold pops of resin and citrus. Each swig comes rushing in on a forest of sprucey tones backed by hints of cannabis and a whole heap of pithy pink grapefruit.

If you can keep yourself from guzzling it long enough to let the brew warm up, you can also look forward to hints of marmalade, peach, and passion fruit flickering through the clean, bitter body.

Solid West Coast IPA. Pine and bubblegum grapefruit on the nose. Pours clear golden with decent head. Big body with good malt, more pininess in the mouth. Medium bitter finish. Can.

Arrow Missouri nothing new, resin, citrus, malt and a little toffee. Flavors are similar to nose. Flavors are a bit citrusy sweet with good carbonation.

On tap at Chuck’s Seward Park, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose is dominated by allium, followed by subdued piney hop and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour likewise has plenty of allium, some pine, citrusy notes, and crisp biscuity malt. The Citra is just too dominant here for me, but the beer is constructed well—just not a fan of this hop expression.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a large foamy white head that laced a little. Aroma of melon and hay. Med body. Dry and nicely bitter. Flavor is green melon, hay/grass, citrus and some pine or resin. Lots of things and lots of flavor. Good stuff.
