Hip 2 The Hops is the first of our IPA series. This is a hop-forward IPA that is hopped lightly at the start of the boil and heavily at the end. You can expect that with each release. This batch was brewed with Azacca, Citra, Denali, Mandarina Bavaria, and Simcoe. Drink Responsibly.

Growler into a becher glass.
Appearance: dark murky cardboard orange color with a finger and a half's pour of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: grapefruity fleshiness and skin roaming into some subtle grassy to floral hop notes, seemed more of a caramel/toffee malt base but clean
Flavor: bittersweet with a touch of juiciness but nothing really popping out; mild grapefruity aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability to this; stiffer hop cling touches the tongue, finishes with the grapefruity hop tones
Overall: the brewer might say this is a NEIPA but IMO, I would say this is one of the first efforts when brewers were first starting to get the true NEIPA going to where they are now-a-days.

120z Bottle froM john. Very hazy, looks a bit thick, small head. Smells like a citrus sundae and grapefruit skins. Very thick mouthfeel. lots of acidic orange peel flavor. juicy but very bitter and the carbonation is just thick.
