Geez—not another IPA! That’s right, this is not just another IPA. Consider it a next generation IPA. A slightly sweet, lower ABV, IPA providing welcome relief from the onslaught of bitter hop-bombs out there. Its complex aromatic layers—suggest mango, melon, pine and berries—are driven by Mosaic and Citra hops which are then balanced by an acidulated and pilsner malt bill. Finally, its silky smooth mouthfeel will leave you asking for “mo.”

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: rustic orange/copper color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some nice lace
Aroma: melon, piney, lemon and raspberry/blueberry-ish hoppy tones with a light clean caramel/toffee malt backbone
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a nice crisp bittersweet quality, finishes piney and berry-like with the malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, some kind of sessionability to this, light smoothness but some hop abrasion too
Overall: nicely done West coast styled IPA I wouldn't mind downing again.

Can from The Beer Mongers, Portland. Aroma is fruity hops, citrus, mosaic hop, orange, mildly sweet, grainy malt, citrus, bread, tropical, mango. Flavour is mildly sweet and fairly bitter. Body is medium. A little more sweet than typical for IPA from this area, it has a great balance and smoothness with a superjuicy aroma. Excellent.

So when are Gimme Larry, Gimme Curly, and Gimme Shemp coming out? Dark orange body with white head. Melony and berry in taste, mango, pine and strawberry in aroma. Medium body. Very tasty.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A soft fruity nose. mango, some sweet almost pils malts, toast. Very smooth. Solid. Reminds me a bit of Celebration.

From a store: this is a slightly older bottle than ideal, but still in range. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is lightly piny, melons and fruitiness with some malts. Taste is sort of sweet. Low bitterness. Some aftertaste. Probably would have been better more fresh.

Can from Total Wine, Fredericksburg. Pours hazy orange with a soft beige head... nice lacing. Aroma is juicy citrus, mango, pine. Flavor is juicy: pineapple, orange, mango. Not very bitter, but not sweet. A little acidic. Almost tastes a bit stale with how the hops kinda fall flat with the lack of bitterness. I’m not crazy about it, but it’s definitely not bad.

Ugly and tan, not much head. Fruity and overripe. Tastes bad...it looks off and tastes like old, stale, IPA with sad, limp hops. Do not give me more.
