Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is sweet and roasty with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
