Clear copper coloured body. Low, nitro, creamy head leaving lacework on the glass as it goes down. Aroma of juicy malts. Firm malt-fruity taste with a decent bitter support. Pleasant. Half pint, hand pulled cask at Rutland Arms, Sheffield 2 Oct 10.

Cask på Rutland Arms, Sheffield , Sheffield 2 Okt 10. Gyldenbrun. OK kremskum som legger seg lagvis nedover i glasset. Pent å se på. Søt & god karamellaroma. Smaken karamell med litt plommer. Syrlig bitter ettersmak.

10th November 2008. Clear deep gold beer. Low carbonation. Competant but dull beer. Light malt, very mild hops. Just a trace of banana. One of those all too typical annoying English palates that manages to be dry and watery at the same time!

Draught. Clear brown with some head. Little aroma. Medium body and carbonation. Tangy spicy foretaste with reasonable bitter aftertaste perhaps a little harsh. Nice beer. [10/10/09] [A year later 02/10/10 - very similar scores (7,4,7,3,14), comment on flavour was malt with slight floral and vegetable note and some clean hoppy bitterness in finish.]
