A nod to the American Ambers that were so popular in the 80s and 90s brewpub scene in America. We brewed this with local barley and small amounts of Mount Hood and East Kent hops.

Refrigerated pint can poured into a glass mug. Clear light amber with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is caramel malt.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium frothy eggshell-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, caramel, fruit and mild earthy hop. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
