Amra, Sanskrit for mango, begins with a very pale West Coast-style IPA devoid of caramel malt character to allow the fruity aromas and flavors of Simcoe & Glacier hops to take center stage and meld perfectly with unreasonable amounts of mangos added to this fruit beer with attitude.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy yellow-orange with light sparkle, finger-width foamy off-white head with decent retention and fair, soapy lacing. Aroma is mango, citrus, resin, with nice malt backbone. Taste is mildly bitter dank, earthy resin, light sweet citrus and mango, grains. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and bittersweet fairly dry finish. Overall, I'm glad this wasn't an over-the-top, cloyingly sweet abomination but would have expected (and hoped!) this would be sweeter/less bitter than it was.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and earthy tropical fruits with some mango and a grain backbone. Flavor has earthy citrus and grass with some sweet mango growing through the finish.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold-orange with a finger of foam that lingers. Light mango, old orange and grain on the nose. Slightly heavy and cloying on the palate. My first non-drain pour from Destihl though...so there’s that!

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/1/2017. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy mangoes, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, woody, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, mangoes, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy mangoes, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, woody, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mangoes, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, wood, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, mangoes, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a delicious fruited IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, mangoes, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very juicy tasting on both hops and fruit; with a nice malty backbone, without being overly sweet. A very Midwest-style IPA. The Simcoe/Glacier hop profile works perfectly with the mangos. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft at RnH. Murky darker orange color. Sweet and fruity aroma, some caramel, light pine. Slightly sticky and clean. Okay, but feels like something is missing.

On tap at First Draft, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, some dankness, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, a touch of citrus and biscuity malt. Oily palate, with a piney finish. Solid.
