Moderately hazy white-gold-to-flax colored body is topped by a medium-sized white head with strong retention.
Passion fruit is strong in the nose with honey and strong black pepper. Lemon, light bubblegum and dry wheat notes round it out, with some light cake icing coming in late. No alcohol noted.
The flavor is more tart tha expected, with a big passion fruit flavor that nonetheless shows a fair amount of dryness overall, despite having some sweet interludes. Pepper phenols help dry things out, as does the wheat and the passion fruit itself is quite authentic. I see all the mediocre reviews, but it seems that expectations may be to blame there. This is just a fruity wit bier and I thought quite drinkable and mostly clean, at that. Plus, the fruit is done very, very well; way better than any of the sculpin fruit series, in my opinion. Carbonation is moderate and fairly engaging, while the pleasing tartness and pepperiness lingers on, rather quenchingly. Pleasantly surprised with this one. I think, to style, it’s actually very good, despite being a bit pedestrian to the beer geek who is expecting a wild ride with big bold flavors.

Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper this beer poured a cloudy yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, passion fruit and mango. The flavor was bitter and perfumey with a sweetish and tangy passion fruit note. Long passion fruit finish that turns dry. Medium body. Disappointing.

On tap at Brashland. Pours a cloudy gold with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, passion fruit, cereal, dough. Medium mouth, dough, wheat, passion fruit, fruity pebbles, light finish.

bottle - Pours hazy pale yellow with a small head. It smells of passion fruit and Belgian yeast. The sweet flavor has assertive passion fruit along with wheat and yeast plus some minimal hops presence. It’s not exactly my style, but it’s good.

On tap at Salted Pig. It pours a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma has big tropical passoinfrut with some light notes of citric acid and hints of floral hops. The flavor has lots of passionfruit. Very fruity with lith hints of fruity acidity. Low bitterness. Enjoyable if a bit simple.

On Tap at Pre Funk Nampa Hazy bright orange-yellow. Thin wispy head and spotty web-like lacing. Soft wheaty light fruit flavors. Slight tartness, but I wouldn’t call it a "sour beer" Pleasant and tasty.

Bottle: Hazy, bright yellow/gold with a white head. Passion fruit, pink grapefruit aroma. Taste is passion fruit, lemon, wheat malt. Very acidic..solidly fruity and citrusy. Refreshing.

Passion fruit, passion fruit, and more passion fruit. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in luck! Pours a hazy yellow, with minimal head. Aroma of passion fruit and wheat esters. Flavor is strongly passion fruit, with a touch of wheat sourness and other fruits (banana, etc.). I liked it, though I see others have struggled.

Bottle. A- Passion fruit, wheat. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Passion fruit, slightly sweet, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- While it’s a tasty wheat, it doesn’t taste spectacular. Almost like a glorified Leinenkugels or Shock Top. Passion Fruit was there and not too sour or tart. Actually could have been more tart. A bit artificial tasting, but again, not bad.
