We are always looking for opportunities to get creative around the brewhouse, and the celebration of another year of passionate brewing is the best opportunity we can think of. As such, we revel in the challenge of coming up with a new and interesting brew each year under our "Anniversary" label, worthy of paying homage to our past and the new year of brewing ahead.

Draft pour at Spacebar. Poured a clear orange color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was lots of juicy hops, herbal notes. Floral hop character is quite nice. Grassy. Flavor was lots of hop juice notes - light pine. Alcohol is pretty well masked to be perfectly honest, you can tell it’s there, but it’s very drinkable. Nice.

Pour is a cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma is of big sticky, dank tropical fruit hops. Flavor is again an aggressive hop with more of sturdy earthy malt backbone. Finish is more of a melon rind hop with little bitterness and a tobacco like malt. Maybe my tongue is hop shot but this is another beer where it is more malty than I would have liked. Sure it’s hopped out the wazoo so you do get that resin it’s just the malt makes such a large appearance it kind of dilutes what I think they were going for here.

Draught @ Festival of Dankness, San Diego. Aroma is sweetish with resin and pineapple juice. Flavour has resiny tones, some caramel and pineapple juice. Finishes with mild, harsh bitterness and menthol. Nice drinkability.

Pours orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, resin, grass and citrus. Taste is malty, caramely and herbal hoppy with some grassy notes. Finish is crisp, malty and sweetish with some caramely notes. A bit stuffy and sweet.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, hop oils, and light bready caramel malt. Flavour brings out lots of hop oils upfront, which leave residual sugars. Sort of strange balance to this. Not the most pleasant construction, but it's decent. Overrated based on the ratings so far.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a large foamy near-beige head. Aroma is hoppy - lots of fruit - deep inhale suggests dankness. Med + body. Flavor is hop forward, there’s a mild burn, there’s lots of citrus, some mixed fruits that clearly includes tropical, and a fairly roasty caramel backbone. It’s extremely hoppy, yet not unreasonably harsh. Actually rather lush in the mouth. Almost like cask ale xpt for the carbonation level. Excellent.
