Sample, thanks fonefan! Almost clear deep golden, small head. Piney grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium to full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Woody and piney with lots of grapefruit. Resinous bitter finish,

Thanks fonefan! Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is resin, some floral, fruity, nectary and mild earthy tones with a bit nutty elements too. Flavour is biscuits, some herbal, resiny and mild citrusy tones to it. Nice bitter bite in the finish.

568ml can, sourced from the NM webshop so definitely kept in significantly better conditions than the supermarkets.
Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus fruits and resin, grapefruit. Taste of orange and grapefruit, resinous, mild herbal, piney bitter finish. Medium bodied.
Good effort especially for a supermarket beer, bitterness feels a little restrained for the style, aiming for broader appeal no doubt.
No idea why it needed to be packaged in such a bigly pint can though!?

568 ml can as part of an ASDA shop, drunk at home. Light gold and clear with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma gives plenty of pine, lemongrass, sharp citrus. Taste is nicely bitter, more pine, a little soapy, massive grapefruit hop. Bitter and slightly dry on the finish. Body is full with soft to medium carbonation. Impressive if maybe a little below Northern Monk's usual standards.

Pint can. Asdas. Soft hazed gold. Decent white foam stays the course. Nose has pine air freshener. Some sweet citrus. That’s about it really. Taste has an initial brioche like sweetness before getting resinous and sappy bitter. Sticky on the palate. Needs drinking very cold this one. Sappy bitterness to finish. Very one dimensional and tbh it got boring by the end of the fuck off big can.
