There is sauerkraut in my lederhosen. I repeat: There is sauerkraut in my lederhosen! Which is exactly the way it should be when drinking a Oktoberfest-style Märzen, brewed with 100% imported German ingredients. Bring the bierhaus to your haus with this award-winning, ubër popular seasonal beer that delivers a blitzkrieg of rich malt and caramel sweetness. Pairs perfectly with traditional festival favorites, like Bauernseufzer, roasted pig knuckle, and Bavarian soft pretzels that are larger than your head. Oans, zwoa, g’suffa!

16oz stein at Pizza Paradiso Georgetown pours a mostly clear, copper amber with some creamy, white head. Nose is standard, malty, some yeasty dough, cracker, a little fall fruit, mild golden raisin. Flavor is the same, malty sweet, biscuit, a little bread, some orange too, a little dried apple. Crisp finish. Solid representation.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, copper colour. Tiny halo of white. Brown sugar and red fruit sweetness. Some spice. Hint of vanilla. Taste is fusty sweet to start. Lots of paper dryness. Palate is a little astringent. Finishes light dry, with some bitterness.

355 mml bottle tasted on 09/07/2014. Clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, honey and malts. Lot of caramel and yeast in the taste. Aftertaste is well balanced. Easy to drink beer with nothing special. Next one please!
