Brewpub draught, 10/5/25.
Clear, bright cherry red with a small, pinkish head.
Bright, tart cherry in the nose, nice and mellowed out with aging and mixing with soft funk and light oak. Nothing aggressive here and it smells like a lambic (assuming the pitched lambic blend).
Oaky, but not harsh or overly tannic, with tart cherry, gentle sweetness and good attenuation. Soft wheat and tannin give a chewy, round texture to help balance. Great flavors, all nice and mellow and rounded. Not too much funk. About as good as it gets for a non-blended, single foeder, American "lambic".
