Crowler shared at Travlr’s departure tasting. Poured into a snifter showing pitch black with a finger of latte colored foam. A lot of the beer foamed out. The nose shows a balanced mix of raspberry and roasted malt. The nose is light bodied and fully carbonated. Flavors of raspberry and vanilla forward but completely dry. Roasted malts are brightened by these flavors to be more akin to a milk chocolate. Drinks as if it was neopolitan with flavors of chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla.

5 oz draft pour at Aslin. Poured a pitch black color with a small tan head. Vanilla and raspberry is on the nose, but it’s really subtle, at least when first poured. Aroma strengthens as it warms. Flavor is similar, raspberries with some burnt dark chocolate and malts. Not quite as good as the base beer, but still really good.

5 oz pour on draft at Aslin. Black with light tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, berries, light vanilla. Tastes of dark chocolate, vanilla, berries, light roast. Full body with a dry finish. Nice variant, just a bit overly sweet for me.
